We will depart from the Hacienda Tres Lagos Hotel, to go by van to our dock located on Bertrand Lake, just 5 km away, where we will take one of our boats and navigate the emerald green waters and main tributary of the largest river in Chile, the Baker River (870 m3/s). The navigation lasts 30 minutes through this lake of glacial origin with a basin of 48.1 km2. passing the Bertrand River, we will arrive at Plomo Lake. At the demarcation of these lakes, we will see that the leaden waters from glaciers do not mix, due to the different densities, generating a unique phenomenon. It is striking that, on the shores of Plomo Lake and its tributary Soler River, as well as on the shores of Bertrand Lake, the descendants of the first settlers who continue to sail to Puerto Bertrand continue to live, to supply themselves every few months.
All this is part of the San Rafael Lagoon Park, which is inserted in the northern ice fields. Inhospitable beaches that you will only have the opportunity to visit on this adventure since they do not have any way to get to know them and you only get there by sailing on Bertrand Lake. We will enjoy this wild landscape, surrounded by glacier waters, waterfalls, and pristine forests.
An unparalleled and unforgettable adventure, which will add value to your experience in Chilean Patagonia.
